Southland Incentive, Inc. was established in June 2023 to promote the equine industry while supporting youth in agriculture. We exist as a stallion incentive that promotes our enrolled stallions year-round, provides a market for their outstanding progeny and pays 100% of enrollment fees back to the competitors and stallion owners who excel at our event. Our alliance with the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo produces the Southland Team Roping and San Antonio Invitational Horse Sale.

The Southland Team Roping showcases the high quality equine athletes produced in Texas and surrounding states while allowing potential buyers and fans to see these horses in a competitive environment.

The San Antonio Invitational Horse Sale embraces the heritage of Freeman Coliseum and shares its history and electric atmosphere with the fans and buyers who participate in the sale.

The inaugural event resulted in:

• $413,200 worth of horses sold during the San Antonio Invitational Horse Sale

• $198,000 paid out to ropers and enrolled stallion owners during Southland Team Roping

• $53,500 donated to San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo scholarship fund

• $10,000 raised for Southland scholarships

This elevated western experience allows Southland to promote what we love - Western Heritage and the Equine Industry - while executing our mission - supporting Texas youth involved in agriculture and equine-related careers.
