Burt Bull Top Stallion Award

After The Southland Incentive Team Roping February 17th, 2024 during the 75th San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, we will name one stallion - 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵.

This award will be given to the Southland Incentive enrolled sire whose progeny accumulate the most earnings that day.

We have some great stallions enrolled in the Southland Incentive that are also competing in the team roping. Their winnings will not apply to their progeny earnings. This award is for the best producer - the stallion whose offspring wins the most money - the #1 Sire.

If anyone knows anything about great sires, it’s Mr. Burt Bull of Riviera, TX. Mr. Bull was passionate about raising quality horses at Los Jaboncillos Ranch Inc. This passion led him to win the 2019 NCHA Cutting Futurity with Metallic Rey Mink. Mr. Bull co-founded Integrity Industries. He served as a board member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Texas A&M Univ. Equine Initiative, and his professional accomplishments are far too numerous to share here.

Despite these many achievements, Burt Bull did not intimidate. His calming presence and encouraging wisdom empowered all those around him. His deep faith in God guided all his efforts and his humility insisted on giving Our Lord credit for every blessing that came his way.

His support of youth through education and agriculture is yet another reason the Bull Family continues to be a pillar in the South Texas community. We appreciate their support of the Southland Incentive and Mr. Bull’s enthusiastic enrollment of Metallic Rey Mink. We hope to make Mr. Bull proud by continuing to shine a light on the great people and great horses that make equine sports the best in the world.
